This 1970s coat with velvet detail is a real beauty! Hardly, if ever, worn!
Beautifully tailored with velvet detail to the collar and false back belt the coat also has two side pockets and a pleat in the back. This double-breasted coat has lovely metal and enamel buttons matching the rich colour of the fabric.
She has a ‘Gorton’ label which is not a label I am familiar with so I can’t give you any history about the manufacturer but it also says it was made by Craftsmen and I can well believe it! Other labels also indicate that the fabric is made from ‘Pure New Wool’ while the lining is a synthetic material.
Approx Measurements: Bust 36-37″, Waist 33-34″, Hips 38-40″ This Seventies’ vintage coat may be similar to a 21st Century Size 10/12.
Condition: Almost perfect! A few rubs to the velvet on the collar but, otherwise, I can see no flaws to this gorgeous vintage coat. She’s over 50 years old so I’d say that was pretty good going, wouldn’t you?
