A lovely vintage 1920s jacket. Beautifully tailored and fully-lined with three front pockets. Very flattering shape.
In the photograph the lapels look quite short but could be steamed to give that longer, 1920s look that we’re more familiar with. I am including a close up of the woollen fabric so that you can see the lovely weave as well as the stylish buttons which appear on the front and on the cuffs of this vintage 1920s jacket. The weave looks like a brown and pale blue mix – though it could be grey! ?What do you see?
Approx measurements: Bust 36″; Waist 32″; Hips 42″ Length of sleeve 21.5″; Length of jacket from base of collar to hem almost 26″ ?Similar to a modern day UK Size 12
Condition: Very good. The lining has a little wear but it really is minimal. ?I’m not sure if the inside arm-holes have been mended or were simply hand-sewn originally. This lovely vintage jacket looks hardly worn and is crying out for a lovely walk in the autumnal countryside.
I love this jacket. I think she is a real sweetie!
