Autumn Chic

Today, I’ve added two items from two very different parts of the last century!? One is a stunning “Burberrys” coat (made before the company removed the ‘s’ from its original name)

While this lovely red coat dates from around the late 1980s to the early 1990s, the second item is from the 1930s and is a gorgeous pair of vintage tan and blue gloves with Art Deco detailing.?

Burgh Island Hotel!

Is it the “Downton” factor or a love of the 1920s? ?You can’t seem to get enough of that glorious, glamorous era with “Gatsby” Party invitations winging their way around London and the Home Counties!

1920s Cocktail Dress

1920s Evening Dress

We’ve had a busy day with ladies researching frocks and accessories for their events ranging from Great Gatsby parties to Orient Express Trips and from Burgh Island Hotel visits to Downton Abbey Weekends – yes, Ladies, weekends! That’s a lot of Twenties’ fashions to source so these clever ladies are planning well in advance. ?You can check out our original 1920s’ dresses here on the website or visit our shop in beautiful Winchester. We only have a fraction of our original vintage?gowns?on our website so it really is worth making a trip to our lovely, historical City. ? If you’re happy with creating the “Twenties Style” rather than wearing original vintage pieces, we have some frocks from later decades which would, not only suggest the period, but would also accompany a Gin Fizz with plenty of sparkle!
